refractory brick;
sand;
clay;
water;

Making tandoor

3. At the bottom of the barrel, using a grinder, a hatch is cut - it is necessary for serving fresh air into the combustion area.

1. The walls of the barrel are lined with refractory bricks. The laying must be done using clay mortar, in a continuous thick layer. It can be purchased at finished form(for example, Weber Vetonit ML Savi) or create it yourself. Proportions: fireclay clay- 1 part, ordinary clay - 1 part, sand - 4 parts. Mixtures on cement based are not suitable because they are less resistant to elevated temperatures. This may cause the oven walls to crack during use.

1. Using a grinder, the brick is given the required shape. The laying is carried out to the top of the barrel. The laying is carried out in a quarter of a brick; during its execution, make sure that you do not accidentally block the hole for the blower.
2. To avoid problems with closing the lower vent, you need to use a grinder to cut the edges of the brick at an angle. After this, you should attach it to the brick wooden handle, to do this, a recess is drilled in the center of the brick, and the handle is placed on the clay mortar. You can use a cast iron blower door with a steel damper, but it will be less airtight.

If there are no cracks in the barrel and sediment does not flow into it, you can leave the dog house as is. If they are available, for reliability it is better to cover the roof with roofing felt or polycarbonate. You can make a 2-slope roof from wood, and then cover it with any of these materials or using others.

As you can see, you can create it in two ways, cutting lengthwise and crosswise. But first you also need to prepare the container by washing, drying, painting it with an antiseptic or varnish.

To make it easier for your dog to get around, make the cutout in the front of the bed a little larger than in other places. Treat the cut surface to ensure there are no sharp parts or splinters. This cutout can be straight or rounded.
If the dog is large, then cut the barrel lengthwise rather than crosswise. To secure the edges, nail a board horizontally on one side and the other. Unlike the first option, this dog bed is unstable. Therefore, attach beams or curly legs to it from below, you will get a beautiful resting place for your pet.
Place a blanket inside to help him sleep softly. You can sew a mattress into a round bed. To do this, measure the diameter of the barrel. Cut two circles of fabric this size. Determine the size of the arc, cut a strip of the same material to that length.
Sew it on the side to the first and second circle to connect these parts. Leave a gap through which you insert a soft filler - padding polyester, holofiber or the like. Sew up the hole in the arms. A similar mattress is shown in the second top photo on the right. And underneath there is another one.
This mattress has soft edges. The dog will position itself in the center of the bed and will not touch the sides of the barrel. To do this, you can start creating a mattress, as in the version just described, but stitch off the inner circle, leaving part of it unsewn. Place the filling here and sew up the hole. Now fill the outer ring using more stuffing and sew up the hole.

DIY coffee table from an old barrel

It can also be created by placing it on the bottom or sawing it in half. One old barrel will turn into two identical tables. Make shaped legs from boards to secure the workpiece. Place on top wooden table top, secure it with self-tapping screws. To achieve uniform style, paint wooden parts table in one color.
