How to set a melody on MTS. How to remove the "Beep" on MTS

One of the manufacturers of such convenient and smart devices is Sony, and they recently showed off their new flagship. This smartphone first came into our hands in mid-September at CEE 2013, and a week ago it reached our office. One of the coolest features of Sony's flagships is water resistance. Add to this a 21 megapixel camera and interesting design- and the result will be an excellent competitive representative of the category of the best of the best. Today we will figure out whether Sony coped with this task well. Let's look at Sony Xperia Z1.

First impression

As soon as the Z1 came into my hands, I involuntarily began to compare it with the previous model. Externally, the previous model looked a little more interesting: the new one lost the glare glass inserts, the side edges became visually larger, but character traits remained. Still the same big power button, waterproof covers, a lot of glass... Sony fans should appreciate this. The branded contact connector on the left side spoils the impression, but over time I stopped paying attention to it. Although a plug would be very useful. There is nothing new in the kit: pieces of paper, a charger with a removable USB-to-Micro USB cable, and a vacuum headset with replaceable rubber tips.

The first acquaintance with the device leaves a positive feeling. The glass on both sides is very tactile, although it will only be clean for the first few seconds after you carry out the ritual of removing the factory films. By the way, about films: like the previous model, Z1 out of the box already has glued protective films, which are practically invisible. They protect the device from the user. On the one hand, you really want to take them off, they are very soiled. But on the other hand, they will protect the glass from minor scratches, and there is a lot of glass here.

Design, buttons...

As I said, I liked the design of the previous model better. That's not to say the Z1 doesn't look good. The glass looks very beautiful on both sides, only it “magnetizes” any speck of dust, and over time you don’t even think about wiping off fingerprints, because in a couple of seconds they will come back again. But if you are an esthete from level 57, you will probably carry a large soft rag with you. And when you remove all traces of dust and hands from your smartphone, you will have time to enjoy all the lines of this device. With its very immodest dimensions (144.4 x 73.9 x 8.5 mm), it does not lie comfortably in one hand. There is always a fear of dropping the device, and involuntarily the second hand insures the device. But the wide frames at the top and bottom will make it very convenient to hold the Z1 in horizontal orientation without covering the display with your fingers.

There are three color variations of the case: black, white and purple. Our black one looks, subjectively, more expensive and more attractive. Although fingerprints are practically invisible on white. Unlike the previous model, the new flagship has changed the color of the plastic from black to gray (in our black model), and the glass inserts have turned into matte black plastic. Because of this, the plugs began to stand out more, since their outline on the gray was more noticeable. On the left side there is a Micro SD connector, Micro USB and a proprietary dock, on the right there is a tray for a Micro SIM card, a power button, a volume rocker and a two-position camera button. At the bottom is the speaker and microphone grille, at the top is the headset jack, and right in the lower right corner is the old-school “eye” for a string. This will be useful for active users, especially when shooting underwater.

On the back are the Sony and Xperia logos, a large camera window in a silver ring, a flash and a microphone for video. On the front there is a 5-inch display, a speaker slot, a Sony logo and a front camera. The lighting and proximity indicators are perfectly hidden in the black model. The earpiece speaker is not the loudest, its sound is relatively flat, the main speaker is quite loud, but does not hesitate to wheeze. The glass is hugged both front and back by a black frame. She collects glare on herself quite beautifully, which adds pleasant impressions from the design of the device. Another cool thing about the case is the indicator light hidden in the earpiece.

The main advantage of the Sony Xperia Z1 over the flagship solutions of competitors is the water resistance of the case. You can safely take it to the pool, for example, to record videos and take photos right under water. You can bathe your smartphone only in fresh water; at a depth of up to 1.5 meters it will last up to 30 minutes. Naturally, before the experiment it is better to check how tightly all the plugs are closed. Be prepared for the fact that the display will not respond to touches under water; in fact, this is what a physical camera button is for. Personally, it was very unusual for me to conduct such experiments and immerse my smartphone under water. After the first experiments, it immediately comes to mind to take your smartphone with you into the shower and read Twitter, for example. It is worth noting that diving is still dangerous, and when water treatments will be finished, it is better to thoroughly wipe and blow out the device.

Display

Speaking about the display, let's start with the good. This is a larger TFT display with a diagonal of 5 inches. It featured a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, with a pixel density of 441 (440.58 to be exact) ppi. Personally, I don’t see individual pixels on it, I doubt that anyone else will. The display is made with proprietary developments from Sony - Triluminos Display and Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. In practice, the picture is beautiful and juicy. The display is readable in the sun. Even demanding users will like the color rendition. In a word, everything would be fine, but it still has disadvantages.

A smartphone at this price with a display should have EVERYTHING OK, but here the engineers missed the mark. His weak point are viewing angles. No matter which way you look at it, the picture becomes too light. Even if the smartphone is on the table and you are sitting next to it, with the display turned on, you will not notice the time. And this became a great disappointment for me. Of course, I don’t often look at a smartphone from this angle, but such situations do happen. The main inconvenience will be trying to show a photo / video / something else from the display to someone sitting next to you. More than one person will only be comfortable watching a video that involves invading each other's personal space. Later I noticed that dark wallpapers solve such problems a little, but light interface elements will still be difficult to see when viewed from an angle, and this is worth taking into account.

Cameras, photos and videos

Today, a smartphone should have two cameras: for good photos and for video communication. You can also turn on the paranoid mode and assume that this is increasingly needed for the intelligence services, but let this remain a joke. Anyway, I'll start with front camera. 2 megapixels are quite capable of helping well in communicating with distant relatives. In addition, it is enough for self-portraits and video recording in 1080 p at 30 frames per second. If you need it, of course. The picture can be noisy under certain conditions, but the standard noise canceler will try to cope with this.

One more distinctive feature In the Z1, Sony highlights the main camera. This is 20.7 megapixels - the most a high resolution in Android smartphone for today. In addition, there are proprietary gadgets Exmor RS (for mobile), Sony G Lens, and Bionz intelligent photo processing technology. There's also HDR, panoramas, face detection... In practice, the photos look good, but compared to competitors' solutions, the Xperia Z1 loses. Mistakes in colors, inconvenient settings, noise reduction sometimes makes the picture blurry. But strengths This includes low-light shooting and video stabilization. Moreover, in video stabilization, the Z1 is one of the best cameras that can now be found in a smartphone. And the Timeshift Burst mode will come in handy for those who like to take pictures of active scenes.

Hardware, software and battery

The Z1 may be seriously inferior to its competitors in some ways, but not in hardware. In terms of performance, this smartphone feels confident in any situation. This confidence is provided by the quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 (Krait 400), clocked at 2.2 GHz, 2 GB random access memory and the Adreno 330 graphics accelerator. The built-in storage is enough for 16 GB, of which a little less than 12 GB is available to the user, and unlike many other flagships, this one supports Micro SD memory cards up to 64 GB. All this works as expected quickly, there is enough power for all occasions. There are no slowdowns or jerks in games, the graphics are also excellent. But in demanding applications and when long work camera, the top of the smartphone gets noticeably warm. And it heats up from both sides, and not just from the back. In other situations, I did not observe excessive heating.

All this ensures pleasant operation of Android 4.2.2 with a proprietary interface from Sony. I did not find any global changes (compared to previous models). The appearance of the operating system is quite clear and convenient enough for daily use. And in addition to performance, the smartphone has also increased its autonomy. The larger body (compared to the Xperia Z) houses a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. With Stamina's proprietary energy-saving mode enabled, the smartphone survives an active work day, which includes games, navigation, calls, browsing and other user activities. I didn’t limit myself in the backlight level, didn’t turn off Wi-Fi (as some people do when leaving home/office) and didn’t try to save battery on anything, and the smartphone held up fine.

Conclusions and personal impressions

I have always liked Sony smartphones, but, unfortunately, their “sides” come out. In the case of the Xperia Z1, there is enough performance and autonomy, there are cool underwater capabilities and dust protection. But the beautiful picture of the display is ruined by small viewing angles; the large body is inconvenient to use and bends a little. The camera is good, it has very strong points in video stabilization and high-speed shooting, but in general comparison it loses to its competitors. The design of the smartphone is also cool, but it attracts dust and small lint.

Personally, I was satisfied with using the Sony Xperia Z1, but still its disadvantages often interfere with Everyday life. Its cost on the Ukrainian market is now $750. When choosing a new smartphone in the top-end category, I would not pay attention to the Xperia Z1, because for the same money you can buy a more convenient device that will not be inferior in performance and autonomy. But don’t forget that this is one of the few smartphones that you can safely drown in the pool and take with you to the bathroom. And given the fact that we all know people who have drowned their smartphone at least once in their lives, the Sony Xperia Z1 will definitely find its buyer.

In pursuit of the consumer, playing in the market mobile devices Companies are constantly offering new models. The brand beloved by many was no exception. Sony Xperia z1 received a new one stylish design, several changes in the protection class (general and interfaces). It has an interesting transceiver antenna concept. And of course, unique and recognizable appearance. Read more about all the features in the Sony Xperia z1 review.

The following table shows the main technical characteristics of the Sony Xperia z1 (c6903).

The device has dimensions of 144x74x8.5 mm, a glass and aluminum body, is available in three colors and weighs 170 g.

Sony Xperia z1

Design and ergonomics

The first thing that attracts the attention of the Sony Xperia Z1 is new design rim. The frame is now made from a single piece of aluminum. The surfaces of its edges have a matte shine and have received a new convex shape. This gives the model an aristocratic and serious appearance. The back panel is made of tempered glass. Both the front screen and the back cover are provided with protective films when the product is delivered. They are quite fragile, so most device owners peel them off immediately.

Ease of use has also improved. Now Sony smartphone Xperia z1 does not need to be constantly scrubbed of fingerprints glass inserts, as was the case with previous models. On the front and rear glass there is oleophobic layer. The silky roughness of brushed metal and the ability to not collect dirt - consumers really liked all this. This is not only a statement from the Sony marketing department, but also reviews from real product owners.

On the edges of the phone The following elements were placed.

On the front panel— expected set of elements.

  1. The earpiece, next to which there is an indicator of missed events, a sensor unit consisting of illumination, and proximity are located on the top strip.
  2. There is nothing in the bottom band. Navigation in the phone is carried out using on-screen buttons.

The side frames of the display are almost invisible when turned off. They are also not noticeable during operation due to the convex surfaces of the housing frame. However, some users are perplexed by the size of the upper and especially the lower stripes in the front - they take up more than a centimeter.

On the back cover, in the left top corner There is a camera peephole and an LED flash next to it. Right next to this functional block there is an inscription with the characteristics of the sensor. A little lower in the middle is the NFC sensor block. Almost in the geometric center of the lid is the manufacturer’s logo.

The phone fits well in the hand, but you can't call it compact. The Sony Xperia z1 smartphone rightfully bears the proud name of a shovel. Fragile girls with small hands may find it difficult to operate such a large device. For example, men note that the power button is located exactly under the thumb. Girls cannot boast of such a review. In addition, the close location of the rocker causes errors in control and some inconvenience.

Protection class

A very popular option is protecting the device from water and dust. IP58 protection clearly shows that the mobile Sony phone Xperia z1 cannot have open interfaces. In practice, all slots and sockets are isolated with covers, except for the 3.5 mm headphone minijack. Everything moves easily and does not cause any hassle for users. As for the headphone jack, the Sony Xperia z1 has a new interface design: neither water nor dust can disrupt the connection or get inside the case.

  1. Sony Xperia z1 can be under a continuous stream of water.
  2. Immersion to a depth of up to 1.5 m for a period of 30 minutes is allowed.
  3. The camera start button allows you to use the device as a camera for underwater photography.

Important! Submersion time data applies to fresh liquids. In salty ones, the seals may malfunction. Naturally, with such protection from water and dust, the Sony Xperia z1 is perfectly controlled with wet fingers.

Sony Xperia z1 received a display with brand name TriLuminous. It is made using technology that completely eliminates air gap and the formation of undesirable optical effects. The display diagonal is 5 inches, with a pixel density of 440 per inch, it has a FullHD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.

The minimum backlight indicator is 34 cd per sq.m., and the maximum is 460 cd per sq.m. These characteristics directly indicate that the Sony Xperia z1 can be used comfortably under any conditions. The information on the display will vary in bright sunlight, and the minimal backlight will not overload your eyes in the dark.

The brightness can be adjusted either manually or automatically based on readings from the light sensor. It is worth noting the features of the system. Adaptive Brightness responds quickly and adequately. However, in complete darkness minimum indicator backlight is 97 cd per sq.m. This is quite a lot considering the minimum possible value.

As mentioned above, upon delivery of the Sony Xperia z1, a factory film is glued to the screen. She can call ghosting effects at maximum viewing angles. In general, the characteristics of the Sony Xperia z1 in relation to the display show solid advantages:

  • viewing angles are maximum, colors shift very slightly;
  • gray color is neutral;
  • response time when changing black and white flowers is 10 ms;
  • gamma level is 1.9.

Important! The matrix technology differs from standard IPS. There is some shift in color balance. However, the Sony Xperia z1 has an image processing system for Sony X-Reality display output. It allows you to obtain authentic colors and excellent picture quality even with a moderate screen contrast of 600:1.

Hardware platform

The heart of the Sony Xperia z1 is the single-chip SoC Snapdragon 800 from Qualcomm. It has 4 cores with a maximum operating frequency of 2.2 GHz. Such a platform shows enough high level performance with predictable power consumption. The price at which the Sony Xperia z1 is offered implies excellent performance in demanding applications. Adreno330, a high-performance and economical video accelerator, is used to process graphics in games.

The device has 2 GB of RAM, 11 GB free space for storing data and installing applications. This is all that remains of the declared 16 after deployment operating system. However, the phone supports memory cards up to 64 GB, so there is no shortage of storage space for users.

Checking in games shows good level productivity. The challenging Epic Citadel test returned 59.7 frames in High Performance mode. This is the average for almost all modern smartphones. However, to the credit of the Sony Xperia z1, it showed class where others sag. In Ultra High Quality mode, the model demonstrated 55.1 frames per second.

Important! It is worth honestly noting one drawback of the device. The processor platform generates noticeable heat under high load.

Radio module capabilities

It is especially worth noting the capabilities of the radio module. The case is not assembled around an aluminum frame. A plate is made from a single piece of metal, which is shaped by milling complex shape. It is she who acts as the model’s power skeleton, pretending to be a thin frame with a convex surface. This part performs not only the role of the base of the housing structure. Transceiver communication circuits are connected to it. As a result, the Sony Xperia z1 shows excellent results in all conditions. mobile connection works 100%, no problems with other exchange protocols.

Applying this approach to the transceiver antenna allowed Sony engineers to create several accessories that would not be offered, for example, for the Compact model. This is, first of all, separate camera DSC-QX100, a device with impressive technical characteristics. It connects wirelessly to Sony Xperia z1 and can be controlled software smartphone, transfer photos directly to its data storage.

Autonomy

The Sony Xperia z1 has a non-removable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. Device works confidently all day long, without limiting the use of programs and communications.

Important! The phone has a separate battery saving mode. Stamina disables all unused applications if the device goes into lock mode. When the owner turns on the screen, the programs are loaded into memory again. If the display mode is set to “always on”, the energy saving option stops working.

User tests show the following picture:

  • reading mode up to 12 hours;
  • video playback High Quality from the Internet, with comfortable brightness - 8 hours;
  • Demanding games at maximum load - up to 4.5 hours.

The results are not revolutionary, but quite acceptable. In general, for its size, the Sony Xperia z1 shows good autonomy even with constant display activity.

Cameras

Front-camera Sony Xperia z1 does not show anything revolutionary. This is a high-quality 2MP sensor and a sophisticated data processing system that allows you to take good pictures. In addition to selfies, the camera photographs, for example, the view from the window of a house with acceptable results. The resulting image is quite detailed.

Important! The rear camera has a sensor with a physical number of pixels of 20.7 megapixels. But you can get this picture quality only after switching to manual mode. By default, the superauto option is activated and the image resolution is set to 8MP with a widescreen aspect ratio.

At full resolution, the camera shows the following results:

  • Low noise levels are achieved at almost any light level;
  • flash shows uniform distribution color range across the entire field of the photograph;
  • Acceptable pictures even in low light conditions;
  • in complete darkness, the flash-camera combination shows almost uniform illumination of the entire field of the photograph and correct adjustment of light sensitivity.

Of particular note are several unique options of the Sony Xperia z1.

  1. In InfoEye mode, you can add service information to objects in the frame, for example, pull up information about Eiffel Tower at the time of her photograph.
  2. Using TimeShiftBurst, up to 61 photos are taken per second.
  3. There are also options for fans social networks. In SocialLife mode, Sony Xperia z1 can immediately upload photos and videos to Facebook.
  4. An interesting augmented reality option called SmartAR is capable of combining captured images with animation. This unusual spectacle will appeal most to children.

In addition, the camera maintenance system offers face recognition, automatic red-eye removal. Quick start mode is supported: the user can instantly take pictures by pressing a hardware button on the body. In this case, the reaction to the action is customized.

To buy or not

Perhaps the only thing that spoils the impression of the Sony Xperia z1 is support for only one SIM card. IN modern conditions this may be inconvenient. Otherwise the phone is very good. Guaranteed stable connection, excellent screen, autonomy, reasonable price and unique appearance - all this clearly indicates that the model is worth buying. Naturally, if in the usual mode the owner uses the services of only one mobile operator.

Sony Xperia z1

Boring, monotonous beeps are no longer relevant - callers are more pleased to hear a popular melody than the monotonous sounds of waiting. MTS offers its subscribers to replace the beep with a modern music track or a funny phrase. Stay in fashion and don't let your friends get bored!

How to make a melody instead of a beep on MTS?

All MTS subscribers can activate the “Gudok” service, regardless of the selected tariff plan. The cost of melodies is from 50 rubles, the connection period is 30 days. No additional payment required. To install a music add-on, you have several options:

  • call on toll free number 0550 and select your favorite melody using the voice menu;
  • use the service through the official website of the operator company;
  • dial *111*221#. Choose any category and melody you like;
  • use the “Catch a Beep” option when calling another MTS subscriber, press *;
  • use special application for smartphones.

Some tariff plans have an already activated extension in the preset settings - when connecting, consult your operator to see if there is a dial tone in the settings and whether it can be connected immediately.

When calling a mobile phone from a landline number or long-distance connection, the service may be inactive, but all mobile phone owners in the region will be able to appreciate your musical taste.

Another fact about the service: When calling a busy number, the melody will not be played; the subscriber will hear the usual short beeps for such a case.

Catalog of melodies for the “Gudok” service

Goodok is not the only offer from the mobile operator. “Music Box” has an extensive catalog of melodies and the same cost - 50 rubles for 30 days of use.

If you select the good’ok option and set a different melody, the box is turned off automatically and is no longer paid for. Subsequently, you can easily refuse the beep service on MTS without overpaying for extra days.

Connect Gudok to MTS and use several music themes at once? No problem! The operator offers ten popular tracks or jokes that can be set for a specific time, subscriber or group of contacts. So if you want your friends to laugh at your favorite jokes, and your boss to listen to the classics, this is not a problem.

A nice bonus - now the range of genres is not limited to general tastes and modern fashion. When connecting the option, you can select a specific genre and topic. “Own Wave” costs 30 rubles a week and changes tunes daily. Rock, classical, rap - now you can show complete freedom of musical preferences. To install the extension, simply go to your Personal Account and select the required option.

How to cancel the “Beep” service on MTS?

If you are tired of the music or you do not want to pay extra money to use the option, then you can remove the dial tone on MTS. To do this, you do not need to contact the operator or the company’s office; just call 0550 and refuse the add-on. Or go to the application website and delete the beep service on MTS through your Personal Account.

But if you chose another option and you have a whole box of tunes, a package of ten different tracks for different people and “Own Wave”?

To disable the melody instead of the Beeper if you have the music box extension installed, you need to:

  • dial command *111*29#;
  • refuse the addition in your Personal Account;
  • contact the operator at 0890 for help.

It’s also quite simple to refuse Gudok on MTS if you are an active user of the thematic wave - use your personal account, where you simply uncheck the box next to the activated extension. To resume using the option, simply enable it in the settings through your Personal Area on the MTS website.

The ability to replace beeps with popular melodies or jokes is possible in two ways: for money or bonus points. You can only try the beeps for free, but after a certain period they will be extended. Let's figure out how to connect MTS "Gudok" for bonus points.

What is the MTS bonus program?

Almost every operator has lucrative offers for its customers. MTS has a bonus program, the participants of which receive points every month. The easiest way to become a participant in the program is through your Personal Account on the operator’s website, where you can also find a catalog containing all the available rewards. It can be:

  • melodies to replace beeps;
  • e-books (including in audio format);
  • discounts in partner stores;
  • packages of minutes, SMS messages or Internet traffic;
  • equipment (you can buy it at the nearest MTS showroom);
  • mobile content subscriptions;
  • objects from online games;
  • incentives for MTS Bank cardholders;
  • subscriptions to magazines (will be sent to the address you provide via Russian Post).

Points are awarded at the beginning of the month. Their number depends on the amount you spent on communication and on the customer experience. You can get additional points if you make purchases in partner online stores. To do this, you need to go to the store you need using the link from the MTS bonus system page.

In addition, on the special offers page it is easy to find stores where members bonus program can receive a discount on purchases and return points.

How to use points for connecting to "Beep"

If you participate in the program for more than a month, then you have the opportunity to accumulate points that can be spent on the products you need. For example, connect to the MTS “Gudok” service for free. It is necessary so that your interlocutors, while waiting for an answer, do not listen to boring beeps, but enjoy popular melodies, jokes or unusual sounds. It is worth spending points on it only in cases where your tariff can be used to receive incoming voice calls. It will be useless to owners of an MTS SIM card intended for tablets or modems.

You can change the traditional beep to a music track in the corresponding section of the rewards catalogue. In it you can choose a melody from a large number of options presented. There you will also find packages of music tracks, united by a common theme. They cost more. These packages contain at least 3 songs that will be played in random order. You can order the selected option using the large button. Please read the service description in advance. There is no need to install it; the operator will automatically replace the dial tone after processing your request.

Disabling beeps

Using points you can only use tones for 14 days. After this period expires, the selected song will be automatically charged from your main account. The period of use of the service will be extended. The cost of the selected composition may vary, depending on its popularity. The most expensive options are:

  • themed packages;
  • hits;
  • popular compositions that have recently entered rotation;
  • fashionable and most popular melodies.
