What do you need to make a spinner? How to make a spinner with your own hands (2 types of designs)

Let's make a spinner. You will need four bearings, a 22 mm spade drill, a piece of plastic or any other workable material. We draw an equilateral triangle with sides of 85 mm and mark all the holes. You'll have to make a little noise with the drill. Let's drill all the main holes for the bearing. Everything is extremely neat. It’s strange that the spinner only became popular Lately although it was invented in 93 by a chemical engineer. Available in another publication.
The master decided to make cutouts on the edges of the pinwheel.

Cut off the excess and paint it any color you like. The master chose black. The main bearing needs to be upgraded a bit by removing the plastic plug and cleaning out the sticky grease.

Take any container and fill it with acetone or another solvent. We immerse the bearing in the container and remove all excess grease.
The most interesting. Insert the ball bearing into the cutout. Super glue at the contact point, but not necessary. Same with the others. The spinner is ready.

More fidget models

Want to make a toy without a bearing? Here are a few more models for making at home in unpretentious conditions.

Do you want a fashionable anti-stress? Create a bright, unique spinner for yourself and your friends.

A toy in the shape of scarlet lips.

Let's check whether the fidget can be given unusual shapes and how it will rotate. Let's start with the template. We work on thick cardboard. You need two identical parts. Let's make our lips bright. Let's trace the template on red paper. Let's prepare two parts. You will need four circles. We pierce them in the middle and glue them together in two. Smooth the edges with a nail file or fine sandpaper.

Place a circle in the center of the lips and pierce holes. Glue two coins along the edges. A weighted spinner will spin better.

On top is a second cardboard piece. Now we attach the outer part. And on the other hand. Seal the edges. We pierce the central hole.

Let's add gloss using an interesting technique. We apply a special adhesive coating. To do this, press the cardboard onto the pad. Fill with transparent powder. In dry form it white. Shake off the excess. Heat with a hairdryer. The magic begins. An ordinary powerful hair dryer will also work, but it will take longer to seal the part. Under the influence of temperature, the powder melts and covers it with a thin layer of transparent glaze. This coating is not afraid of moisture. The cardboard turns out to be laminated and looks like thin plastic. To make the glaze stronger, apply a second layer in the same order. Marvelous beautiful technique which is not difficult to learn.

Expanding the holes big nail. The central bearing is made from cardboard circles and toothpicks. We put it on both sides. It spins great. Fix with office glue. We remove unnecessary things. Protect the cut with a nail file.

Let's emphasize the contour of the lips. Dip the edges of the spinner in special glue. Sprinkle with gold glitter. Shaking it off. We heat it up. Paint the edges of the bearing with a black marker. Continuation on the video of the “Trum Trum” channel from the third minute.

Video on how to create a spinner.

Has your child succumbed to the popular fashion for spinning spinners? Is he asking for a red one, a yellow one, and also a luminous one in the form of a minion? In general, so that it’s not like everyone else? Then you can make a toy with your own hands. Moreover, such a labor lesson will keep both you and your baby busy. And if you still don’t know what a spinner is, there we answered all the popular questions about this modern, arch-modern fun.

We have put together three ways for you to make a spinner, two easy and one more difficult (you'll need your dad's help here). But we are sure that both tools and materials should be found at home or in the country. Each instruction is supported by a video tutorial found on YouTube for clarity. So, how to make a spinner out of paper, from plastic caps and made of wood?

Method 1. Spinner made of paper and cardboard.

Simple, cheap and not at all ugly - a paper spinner for beginner spinner makers. An older child can handle it on his own, a little one may need a little help, and the result can be proudly taken to kindergarten or school - where creativity is always held in high esteem.

What you will need:

  • Cardboard, marker and caps (or ready-made template from the Internet)
  • Scissors
  • Nail scissors or awl
  • 3 coins
  • Pen refill
  • Paints or glitter for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Download a ready-made spinner template from the Internet. Or draw it yourself by tracing plastic bottle caps on cardboard. You need to cut two pieces of cardboard in the shape of a spinner.
  2. Cut out four more smaller circles. You can circle a coin of a lower denomination.
  3. Glue three coins of the appropriate size on the sides of one of the cardboard blanks.
  4. Glue the other half on top of the blank with coins.
  5. Using nail scissors or an awl, make a hole in the center of the spinner.
  6. Cut about 1 centimeter off the shaft from the handle.
  7. Punch holes in the center of two small circles.
  8. You can paint the finished spinner blank in any colors or decorate it with sparkles, rhinestones or stickers with your child’s favorite characters. Everything is your choice and completely unique!
  9. Insert a piece of dowel into one of the small circles and glue it around the edges of the hole.
  10. Insert the circle with the rod into the center of the spinner and glue the second circle on the other side.
  11. Glue the two remaining small circles on top of the ends of the rod. Ready! A spinner made of cardboard, without a bearing and with complete imagination in terms of design is sure to keep a child occupied for some time.

Method 2. Spinner made of plastic caps.

This spinner will require a little more materials and diligence, but it will also last much longer. In general, a spinner made from Coca-Cola caps is something like crafts made from matchboxes for older generations. Dear consumables and soul-warming results with minimal costs for an actively functioning (that is, rotating) thing.

What you will need:

  • Covers from plastic bottles
  • Kinetic sand or plasticine
  • Glue gun
  • Nail and lighter
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Toothpick

Instructions:

  1. Place kinetic sand or plasticine into three bottle caps almost to the top. The main thing is to make the blades heavier.
  2. Use a glue gun to fill the remaining space in the lids to the top.
  3. Make a hole in the fourth (without sand) lid (you can use a heated nail).
  4. Glue three lids with sand to the central lid with a hole.
  5. Cut two pieces about 1 centimeter from the glue stick.
  6. Break a toothpick in half. Place a piece of rod on one end (the toothpick should not stick out) and thread it into the center of the spinner.
  7. Place the second piece of the rod over the tip of the toothpick on the other side. Ready! If you are very eager, such a spinner can also be decorated creatively - painted with paints (for example, acrylic) or pasted over with something positive. Or you can leave it as is, choosing interesting combinations of caps from bottled drinks.

Method 3. Wooden spinner (with bearing)

Let's move on to the most labor-intensive method of making a spinner. You can’t do without parents here, but the result can be safely laid out on the desk along with purchased toys. Again, in terms of design, freedom for self-expression is provided. For those dads and children who are friends with a jigsaw, know how to find bearings on the shelves of hardware stores and know which side to hold the drill on.

What you will need:

  • 2mm bearing
  • Plywood sheet (5 mm)
  • Stack of coins
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Hand jigsaw
  • Sandpaper
  • Template (or cardboard and marker to create it)
  • Clamp
  • Drill

Instructions:

  1. Glue the template onto a sheet of plywood and mark the locations for future holes in each of the circles.
  2. Drill holes in each of the three circles on the sides to make it easier to cut them out later.
  3. Insert a jigsaw into the holes and cut them out.
  4. Cut out the workpiece itself from a sheet of plywood and sand it with sandpaper.
  5. You can paint the spinner any color you like.
  6. Insert the bearing into the central circle; if it does not fit well, you can drive it in with a hammer.
  7. Glue together a stack of coins for the inner circles. Start with a five-ruble coin (put it under the circle), then two-ruble coins and on top again a coin with a face value of five rubles.
  8. Do this for all circles. You can decorate it on top as you wish. Ready! Just think about the benefits of a homemade anti-stress toy: you had a good time together with your child, worked hard and saved money on buying another plastic trinket. And it spins great!

Spinners entered mass fashion not so long ago, but in just a few months they won the hearts of not only adults, but also children. Today, spinners spin everywhere: on the street, at work, in the subway and even in kindergarten! And every child wants his toy to be somehow different from those that his peers already have. You can buy an original spinner, but such a toy is not cheap, and finding a unique spinner takes a lot of time. The best decision- make a spinner yourself.

So, we present to your attention a few simple ways how to make a spinner with your own hands from materials that every home has.

1. How to make a spinner from plastic caps?

Materials: caps from any plastic bottles of the same size (4 pieces), plasticine, hot glue, nail, scissors, lighter and toothpick.

What do we have to do: put plasticine in 3 lids, use hot glue to seal the remaining space of the lids. Take the fourth lid (without plasticine) and make a hole in it, for example, with a heated nail. Glue the caps with sand to the one where you just made a hole. Take a glue stick and cut 2 small pieces (1 cm) from it. Break a toothpick in half and put a piece of glue on one end (make sure that the sharp tip of the toothpick does not stick out) and place it in the center of your future fidget spinner. Place the remaining piece of glue stick on the back of the toothpick. Your spinner is ready!

For more interesting looking, you can color the caps in different colors acrylic paints.

2. How to make a spinner from cardboard?

Materials: plastic bottle caps, cardboard, scissors, marker, awl or nail scissors, glue, 3 coins and a pen refill.

What do we have to do: Using the lids, draw 4 circles on the cardboard in the shape of your future spinner. After this, cut out 5 such blanks and glue them together, carefully gluing the edges. Next, cut out smaller circles. Using an awl or thin nail scissors, make a hole in the center of the spinner. Glue 3 coins or any stickers on the sides of the blanks.

Next, take the set aside pen rod and carefully cut 1 cm from it. Make small holes in the center on two small circles. Insert the cut piece from the handle shaft into one of the circles and glue it along the edges of the hole to securely fix it. Insert this circle into the center of your spinner and glue the second circle on the back side. The remaining two small circles can be glued on top of the ends of the rod. To make your spinner spin faster, place some kind of spacer between the spinner blank and the small circles (in our example we used metal pendants).

Ready! Let your child decorate his spinner as he wants, you can use glitter, stickers, rhinestones and other decorations.

3. How to make a spinner using bearings?

Materials: bearings (3 pcs), tie clamps, glue gun or superglue (for a more complex spinner).

What do we have to do: wrap cable ties around the bearings on all sides. Cut off the extra clamps and that's it - the spinner is ready!

To make it more bright and attractive, you can make the design more complex. Take 7 bearings, place 6 of them around the seventh. You will not use all 7 bearings, you will only need 3 circular and 1 central. You need the remaining bearings only for accurate measurements, so we will leave only those that form a triangle. Glue all the necessary parts using glue gun or superglue. The spinner is ready! Decorate the spinner as you wish. You can glue the fluffy wire, apply glue to the sides of the spinner and cover the edges with glitter.

Rest assured, no one else will have spinners like your child’s!

Spinner, spinner...Everyone seemed to go crazy. What it is? Where did it come from? And most importantly, why? Today we’ll try to figure it out... It was invented by one person. Now the whole world is going crazy, people are buying it, kids are loving it.

When I was little, I really liked to spin the top. You take out some larger gear from an old watch and start turning it - who has it longer? Sound familiar? You sit and watch... Remember your feelings as a child.

I get approximately the same sensations when spinning a spinner. You spin and look. And a spinner is essentially a top. Only the top stands on an axis. And the spinner is rotated in a horizontal plane. The Anglo-Saxons like to use the word “spin” (to rotate, to turn).

They have “spin” everywhere - from quantum mechanics and physics - to this simple thing. It's terribly simple. And we have a top, and many other analogies...

Anyone who rewinds a cassette with a pencil does not buy a spinner!

Time does not stand still. Our children no longer know about all sorts of tape cassettes and spinning tops. This newfangled thing has appeared. And there is every reason to think that the spinner will soon turn into an element of style. Maybe soon we will see spinners not only with LEDs, but also gold, with rhinestones, maybe even with laces...

Now is such an interesting time, you can expect anything. If there is a demand for platinum spinners, I wouldn't be surprised. Online stores are already selling products for 3,000 rubles...

Spinner - what is it, what is it for and why is it needed?

Structurally, the spinner is very simple. Imagine a star with a bearing in the center. The star's petals are balanced. You can also insert a bearing in each beam. And twist it for yourself. Let's add brightness with the help of bright colors and voila, the spinner is ready.

Of course, it is needed for entertainment and during idleness. If you are in the “trend”, then of course, in order to remain fashionable and stylish. It was originally intended as an anti-stress sedative. Which is true. You can spin it in different ways - on the table, in your fingers, on one finger... While it is spinning, you watch how it does it, and your head at that moment becomes completely empty... And this is relaxation, friends. Let it be for a minute, but rest.

All your attention turns to the spinning petals. Maybe for this reason, in our age of stress, this simple children's toy has become so popular all over the planet... Who knows? Children love spinners very much for their brightness and for this very thing... Now many sellers present this attractive product as a kind of “remedy”. Here's what the sellers write:

  • develops motor skills and increases finger sensitivity. Products are especially useful for restoring hand function after various injuries and fractures of the hand;
  • the device has an anti-stress effect: helps to concentrate, eliminates anxiety, relieves nervous emotional condition and irritability;
  • the toy will be a great way to occupy time when traveling on public transport or while waiting in a long line;
  • stimulates the development of manual precision.

So, if you want to relax and get an expensive exclusive product, then go ahead to online store. I'm sure they'll be looking forward to seeing us there. But Russia is such a unique country. Our people sometimes cannot come to terms with going out and buying this simple thing. Our man does it himself.

Because when you made a Thing yourself (even the simplest one), you have a completely different attitude towards it. For example, it’s always a pity to throw away such a thing... By the way, when you make something yourself, it also sometimes relaxes and distracts. We will make a spinner with our own hands to take our minds off and experiment :)

How to make a spinner with your own hands from scrap materials?

The materials, friends, can be very different. But the principle is the same - there is a bearing in the center. In order to ensure long and easy rotation, the toy must be balanced, and the bearing must not contain thick, greasy grease. Here is one of the manufacturing options:

You need to buy four bearings (three will be used as counterweights)

You will need a wood drill with a diameter the same as the bearings:

Also, we need the material from which the body is made. He can be anything. The main requirements are strength and easy processing.

We mark the material with a pencil something like this:

We continue to rotate the drill (the same spinner):

Let's do it with a regular drill additional holes (for intricate designs):

The workpiece should be drilled something like this:

And before placing bearings in it, look something like this (if you can work beautifully, you should try to somehow round the corners):

It is necessary to prepare the central bearing and remove the factory grease from it.

After removing the protective covers from the holder, rinse it in gasoline or acetone:

Then you need to use a suitable glue (superglue does not glue all plastic!), epoxy or other, to carefully glue the bearings into place.

Something like this:

This is such a brutal, “masculine”, harsh spinner.

Watch the manufacturing video from start to finish:

As you can see, everyone experiments as best they can :):). There is no limit to perfection! There would be a desire. Both samples spin well. More effort will go into good design. Hooray!

How to fix a spinner if it is broken or rusty?

According to my feelings, it is impossible to break the purchased spinner. The bearing is pressed into a metal housing; counterweights are glued or pressed. The weakest link is the bearing. It may rust if kids drop it and rinse it in water.

It is clear that if the spinner is homemade, as in the example, we simply lubricate and unravel the bearing until all the rust comes off. We re-glue the flying bearings with normal glue. In severe cases, we use a rust converter and lubricate it until the previous “driving” qualities return. In the case of a purchased spinner, carefully remove the lid or cap that is always present there:

We apply liquid household lock lubricant to the clip, and so on. If there is a lot of rust, you can throw it in a jar of oil and let it sit... That's the whole repair.

Origami paper spinner - without bearings and glue, how to make?

In the wake of the general fascination with the toy, experiments continue. Someone again connected the two different directions and spinners began to be made from paper. By the way, it’s precisely these kinds of crafts that develop children’s motor skills and everything else.

Therefore, you can get your child interested in making such original things. Made from paper, it will be safe for the child. True, a little disposable. Colored paper:

Action one:

Act two:

Act three:

Action four, axis:

Act five, the “bearing” is also made of paper, which confirms that the Japanese are creative people :)

To figure out what's what, watch the video.

Beautiful. And it's fun to do things like that.

How to make a spinner from plastic bottle caps with your own hands

Our people are talented and savvy. All to the farm! We don't throw anything away! We choose something brighter and newer!

It's simple, the principle is the same, the material is different.

Let's do it once:

Let's do two. You need to drill and clean the hole at the bottom of the lid, and glue:

We glue only three plugs, we use the rest for alignment and symmetry of the first three. It should look something like this:

You need to bring everything into divine shape and then begin assembling the product. We also rinse the bearings in acetone and then reassemble them.

When everything is inserted and glued, we check:

It works.. :) But, friends, this is the easiest way. There are quite exotic ones interesting ways manufacturing spinners from plastic stoppers. Watch the video.

As they say, there would be a desire. It remains to be said that in any creative process there is no limit to perfection. Make a spinner from wood, metal, cardboard, concrete...

As long as ball bearings are produced, we can create anything. Any creative work gives pleasure to those who do it. Do it with pleasure, and then everything will work out well for you. See you on the blog pages. If anyone has links to interesting options homemade spinner, please leave it in the comments.

Children and adults are delighted with the popular toy on bearings - the spinner. There are many varieties of them from various materials. Learn how to make a spinner at home.

How to make a spinner from paper and cardboard

To make a spinner with your own hands, you will need certain materials and skills to work with them. The simplest ones to make are models made of cardboard and paper. Their only drawback is fragility and fragility.

You will need:

  • cardboard;
  • scissors;
  • awl;
  • marker;
  • silicate glue;
  • coins of the same denomination - 3 pcs.;
  • empty rod from ballpoint pen;
  • gouache paints and glitter.

Step-by-step instructions on how to make a spinner:

  1. Draw a blank on the cardboard. To do this, circle the cap of a PET bottle with a marker, forming a triangle with a central (fourth) circle in the middle. Cut out two identical pieces.
  2. Glue three coins onto the “blades”.
  3. Glue the second cardboard blank on top.
  4. Make a through hole in the center of the workpiece using an awl.
  5. Cut about a centimeter from the empty (without paste) ballpoint pen refill.
  6. Cut four circles smaller in diameter than the lids. To do this you can circle small coins. Make through holes in two circles with an awl.
  7. Insert a centimeter rod into one circle and glue it. Then pass the free end of the rod through the central hole of the spinner blank and glue it. Insert the free end of the rod into the second cardboard circle.
  8. Hide the ends of the rod; to do this, glue the two remaining whole cardboard circles on top of them.
  9. Paint the craft with paints and decorate with sparkles.

How to make a spinner from plastic caps

Plastic spinners are much stronger than cardboard ones. Children over 8–10 years old will be able to make a spinner from caps with their own hands. The smaller ones will need parental help.

To make a craft you will need:

  • lemonade lids - 4 pcs.;
  • plasticine or clay;
  • scissors;
  • glue gun and glue stick;
  • nail and lighter;
  • toothpick.

Step by step description:

  1. Fill the hollow space inside the three lids with plasticine, and fill the top with glue from a gun.
  2. Make a hole in the center of the fourth lid with a nail. To do this, heat the sharp end of the nail with a lighter.
  3. Glue three lids filled with plasticine on three sides of the fourth with a hole, creating a triangle shape.
  4. Cut two pieces one centimeter long from the glue stick for the gun.
  5. Break the toothpick exactly in the middle.
  6. Secure one end of the toothpick to a cut piece of glue stick.
  7. Place the free end of a toothpick through the hole in the center cap. Hide the remaining sharp tip in another piece of glue stick.
  8. If desired, paint the tops of the lids with acrylic paints or cover them with appliqués.

As you can see, spinners are not at all difficult to make yourself. This is a good opportunity to captivate your child for a while and enjoy the result with him.

To create a craft in the form of a fashionable spinner, you will need ordinary available materials that you can always find at home. Good luck and creativity!
